Nelson Mandela, who used to refer to Gandhi as his role model, once said a nation should be judged not by how it treats its highest citizens but by its lowest ones and by the small yet tremendous efforts by Dr. Vartika Nanda, I believe, we as a nation can someday be worthy of high regard as we create a correctional system that truly contributes to a prisoner’s reformation and reintegration into the society. Congratulations on the Jail Radios, a recreational activity that will promise hope to ones that have lost most of it, trapped in the iron rods.
