Anshul, Bheem, Amina and Kamal (names changed)– all these four children have proved that they can have their own identity and can celebrate a new life that is full of hope for a brighter future. Till now, their identity had been linked to an address that led to a prison. Tinka Tinka presents a video showing a glimpse of children living inside prisons. This is part of Tinka Tinka Madhya Pradesh – an orchestra of art, creativity and change inside prisons. This book makes an original attempt in engaging 19 people – twelve men, two women, four children (lodged with their mothers), and a Prahari- from the prisons of Madhya Pradesh. All the 4 kids are below the age of 6 and 3 of them were born in the prison. This is part of Tinka Tinka Movement working towards reformation inside prisons. In India, more than 1800 children are living inside prisons. They are permitted to stay in prisons only till the age of 6. Releasing the video, the Director General of Madhya Pradesh Prisons, Shri. Sanjay Chaudhary, stated that this project is in no way a small effort, rather it is a big movement that can be perceived as a model in the whole nation.
