Inmates lodged in Tihar and Mandoli jails are busy stitching face masks these days. These masks are being made for the prisons’ inmates and for organisations that have placed orders in the wake of coronavirus. Tihar inmates have made more than one lakh face masks till now. These masks are also being supplied to the inmates lodged in Rohini jail. Tihar Prison complex has provided more than 3,000 masks to Delhi Police.
Tihar Prison Complex is the largest prison complex in South Asia and is currently headed by Shri Sandeep Goyal, IPS.
Tinka Tinka India Awards for the year 2017 were held in Tihar with immense response from jail officers and inmates.
