We need to understand the meaning of this day and we really need to help those who are addicted to anything that person might not be your relative but he/she is someone’s daughter/ son, sister/brother. We really need to look forward to the information that Vartika ma’am has given some of them are shocking but If we help each and be together we can stop this.

  2. Millions of people are a victims of drug abuse every single day. Day by day the amount of drug abusers and sellers are only increasing . There are no strict laws and forces which can stop the sell and abuse of drugs. Drugs have ruined lives , broken relationships and caused all kinds of havoc within the masses. I hope laws are made stricter against drug abuse and the peddlers get punished for the crime . Thankyou tinka tinka foundation for getting this matter into the limelight. #vartikananda #tinkatinka #jail #prisonreforms

  4. According to UN World Drug Addict Report of 2018, 1–3% of Indians are drug addict while in European countries the number goes like 0.1–0.2% of the population.
Illicit drugs lead to negative health effects, and the health risks increase with the frequency and quantity of the use. Unfortunately, people are often not aware of the health consequences their drug use has caused until it is too late. Due to the magnitude of these health effects, policy makers have passed some legislation that attempts to minimize the overall impact of illicit drug use on society.
This Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking issue needed to be raised again and again. We are grateful to you ma’am for putting forward this issue. Everybody needs to be aware of these things for their and societal benefits. #vartikananda

  6. A conversation needs to be had about whether the incarceration of victims of drug abuse is correct or not. I personally feel that instead of locking people who are struggling with addiction, the lawmakers should go after people who are dealing with drugs and make a huge profit off other people’s misery and struggle. Tinka Tinka is doing a fantastic job in viewing topics like drug abuse through the lens of the prison system. #tinkatinka #drugday #prisonreforms #addiction

  7. It is high time we as a society stop incarcerating people for their addiction, they are victims of Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking. I appreciate Vartika ma’am and Tinka Tinka for looking at the drug abuse from the lens of the prison complex. The 8,923 convicts lodged in jails need help from the administration so that they can get cleaned and improve themselves, instead of being punished for their addiction. Instead of going after the victims, the authorities need to go after the big shots who are peddling drugs and exploiting people’s addiction. #tinkatinka #drugabuse #prisonreforms
