and good to know that the no of inmates is less than the capacity of jails
This story was just really surprising as compared to the other jail authorities. Triple Layer masks are being sold at just rupees 10. Moreover the jail authorities also have an isolation ward. Hats off to the inmates for donating 1 lakh 11 thousand rupees to the Corona Relief Funds. #tinkatinka #vartikananda #jail
Made over 5000 masks and sold the mask for only a mere amount of 10 rs. Proud of our inmates who are helping us fight the pandemic. The inmates have also donated money and food to the poor during the pandemic and showed us that they are better than us. Thankyou tinka tinka foundation for being the mediator between the prisonors and the society #vartikananda #tinkatinka #jail #prisonreforms
Model Jail, situated in Chandigarh, currently houses between 400 to 450 convicts. Lately, the prison has been in the news for running initiatives to bring a positive change in the inmates, put their potential to use and contribute to the society. The inmates have prepared three layered masks at a cost of 10 rupees. Some of these inmates are also preparing gowns for medical and para medical staff. They are getting paid for their contribution towards society, meanwhile they are donating their savings. These attempts raised by the prisoners not only encourage us but also boost our morale. We are thankful for Tinka Tinka foundation for encouraging them for participation towards society.
