Inmates lodged in the Muzaffarpur Central jail are working overtime to produce facemasks. In addition to providing protection to inmates and prison staff, the produce will be shared with nine district and sub jails situated in the nearby locations.
This jail has the tradition of producing fabric in the prison premises. Now, with the Covid–19 outbreak, the prison administrators thought of getting face masks made with the in–house produced fabric. A group of 50 inmates are making masks on a daily basis.

This has proven as a link between the inmates and the outer world. The jail is mostly self sufficient. They are manufacturing masks with the inhouse fabric made by them. The reforms introduced are really life changing.
