Tinka Tinka Jail Radio: Ep 17: Tinka Foundation Day, Sheru & Former Inmates

  1. I really appreciate Dr. Vartika Nanda for bringing up prison reforms in India and touching so many lives in a positive manner through her unique prison reforms movement- Tinka Tinka. It is the purest form of reformation in India where the President Awardee and India’s leading Prison Reformer Dr. Vartika Nanda provides us with the insights of
prisoners’ lives in jails expressing the feelings and sorrows of the inmates so beautifully that you can’t stop yourself from getting emotional.

I recently read ‘Tinka Tinka Madhya Pradesh’ and that book has changed my perspective about prisons and has made me question the treatment given to the inmates in so many ways. The comparison made by Dr. Vartika Nanda in this book between jails in today’s world and jails during freedom struggle was an eye opener for me. I am really inspired by this book and want to help these children and other inmates. That is a must read book.

  2. There are stories like these where we can find comfort and solace in the fact that such opportunities, and little steps can bring a change and truly light hope for reformation of our prisons where our inmates can be integrated back into the society as better and improved human beings. It makes my heart happy to see Sheru dive into his art of singing and songwriting and onto a path of enlightenment and enthusiasm between walls that hardly promise any light or hope.. #tinkatinkaprisonreforms #tinkajailradio #tinkatinkafoundation #tinkamodelofprisonreforms #tinkatinkamadhyapradesh #tinkatinkadasna
